Jewelry  are a thriving traditional art that has been widely used in Morocco for centuries, it is a preferred ornaments by female  and play a key role in their social life. It is essential in occasions such as marriage, where it is a basic complement to traditional dress and has a sacred value, and its wearing was determined by custom as well.
There are two types of jewelery: Urban and rural

Urban jewelery:
Urban jewelery is made of gold or golden silver, carefully carved with mostly flower shapes, finely carved, plastful and reinforced with stones or pearls. It reminds us of the medieval Andalusia. It is produced mainly in Fez, Tetouan, Tangier, Marrakech, Meknes, and Rabat.

Rural jewelery: 
rural jewelery, they are often from silver, very grand and noble, and feature geometric designs and sometimes with some flower patterns. They are mainly located in the cities of Essaouira, Agadir, Taoudant, Tiznit, Guelmim, and Laayoune.
